In your side mirror, you don’t need to look at the rear of your own car. Focus on what is behind you.
The opposite car was in my blindspot!
This is a common phrase I hear when talking about lane changes or merging crashes that our customers have experienced. This is a reason I hear a lot, and it makes me sad. Knowing how to use and adjust mirrors to prevent this type of accident is one of the most effective ways to avoid this crash.
Today, drivers are more accustomed to technology and rely on it to reduce blind spot accidents. While these are undoubtedly helpful tools to help in these situations, drivers shouldn’t solely rely on technology to prevent crashes.
Mirrors are back.
Mirror adjustment will eliminate most blind spots, whether it is a passenger car or a trailer. Some blind spots are found in tractors, but they are closer to the front of the cab. Customized mirrors can eliminate most of these blind spots.
Most people have been instructed to adjust the side mirrors so that they can see a portion of their car when looking again. This reduces the driver’s field of vision and creates blind spots.
To modify a rearview mirror, you must first move the driver’s seat to the correct position. Move the mirror to the right, just near the driver’s window. Lean to the right and towards the middle of the car for the passenger side mirror. If the mirror is adjusted correctly, the driver’s peripheral vision should be able to see a car coming from the lanes on the left or right of the vehicle.
